YG’s response to the rumor of Lisa (Blackpink) rejecting a contract worth over 900 billion VND.

YG has once again addressed the rumors regarding Lisa (Blackpink) not renewing her contract. Recently, the Korean news outlet Star News reported that Lisa, the Thai member of the group Blackpink, had turned down two contract renewal offers from YG Entertainment, with the contract allegedly valued at approximately 50 billion Korean won (around 914 billion VND).

According to CNBC, YG Entertainment’s stock dropped nearly 9% on Friday, September 15th, following reports in the Korean media that Lisa had declined to renew her contract with YG. This marked the largest single-day decline in YG’s stock price since September 28, 2022.

After the rumors stirred up the online community, YG has now spoken up about the matter, stating, “We are still in negotiations regarding Lisa’s contract extension. The rumors being circulated have not been confirmed.”

Also on September 15th, Lisa returned to Korea from her hometown in Thailand to prepare for the final two shows of the Born Pink tour, which are scheduled to take place in Seoul on September 16th and 17th.

It is predicted that the contract status between the four members of Blackpink and YG will be announced after the group’s global tour concludes.

Currently, despite more than a month having passed since the contract expiration date on August 8, 2023, information regarding the contract renewal with the four Blackpink idols is still being kept under wraps.
