Plum blossoms are in full bloom throughout Moc Chau

In early November, visitors to Moc Chau (Son La) will be amazed by the sight of numerous plum blossom gardens in full, beautiful bloom. Despite being out of season, this year, plum blossoms in the vicinity of Na Ka Valley are blooming simultaneously, thick and gorgeous.

Where is the beautiful location to photograph plum blossoms?

Moc Chau is home to many renowned plum blossom growing regions, such as Mu Nau plum blossom valley, Pa Phach village, Na Ka Valley, Thung Cuong Valley, and various small areas, including zones 84, 86, and Co Do (Moc Chau cherry orchards)… According to local residents, cherry blossoms typically bloom from around January to February each year, but due to weather conditions and the use of certain methods by locals to make cherry trees bloom early to cater to tourists.

At the end of the year, the natural landscape of Moc Chau Plateau becomes even more picturesque with the white blossoms of out-of-season cherry orchards.

“The blossoms will bloom from one orchard to another to welcome visitors. In previous years, there were also orchards with out-of-season blossoms, but not as splendid as this year,” Mr. Quang Kien added. Currently, the entrance fee to the cherry orchard is 30,000 VND per person, and visitors can explore and take photos in the orchard. Additionally, visitors can organize picnics with friends and family in the cherry orchard.

Off – season plum garden in Na Ka plum valley

Na Ka cherry blossom valley is located in Tan Lap commune, Nong Truong town, about 15km from the center of Moc Chau town. It is a cherry orchard area covering over 100 hectares, featuring various cherry gardens that attract tourists to explore during the cherry blossom and ripe cherry seasons.

Despite being out of season, the cherry blossoms are thick and beautiful, creating a poetic landscape, “whitening” a large expanse of orchards. When looking for cherry orchards, tourists can ask local residents to find out which one is in full bloom.

The fee to visit plum gardens is about 20,000 – 30,000 VND/visit.

The most suitable time to take photos of the plum garden

The ideal times for taking photos with cherry blossoms are around 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning or 3:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. During these times, the sunlight is not too harsh. In the early morning, visitors can admire the dewdrops on the leaves, and in the evening, the sunset casts a very romantic glow on the cherry blossom gardens.

In the coming months, Moc Chau will continue to welcome the season of plum blossoms, apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, yellow mustard flowers, white mustard flowers, and more. Tourists can plan their exploration starting today. Note that out-of-season flowers fade very quickly, and will lose color in just about 1-2 weeks due to the weather gradually turning winter, with frost and rain. Therefore, you should take advantage of it while the weather is still beautiful!

This season, Moc Chau also has yellow mustard flowers and buckwheat flowers!

A few years ago, Na Ka Valley was simply a local cherry growing area. Catering to tourists’ preferences, cherry orchard owners have expanded their services to include photography, traditional costume rentals, tents for camping, and the cherry-picking experience. Currently, it’s also the season for white mustard flowers in Moc Chau. Visitors can combine their trip by exploring the white mustard flower gardens in Na Ka Cherry Valley.
