YG Entertainment announced on the morning of December 6th that BlackPink had renewed their exclusive contract, with the company promising to further elevate the group’s presence in the global music market.
According to Nate’s news on December 6th, a representative from YG Entertainment revealed that all members of the BlackPink music group had signed a renewed exclusive contract.
BlackPink to continue their world tour
Quoting YG Entertainment’s statement: “After careful discussions with BlackPink, we have signed a new exclusive contract for the group’s activities based on deep mutual trust. BlackPink will reciprocate the love of fans worldwide through activities befitting their global status, such as releasing a new album with comprehensive support from YG, as well as embarking on a large-scale world tour.”
However, individual contracts for each member have yet to reach a final outcome. On the morning of December 6th, in a statement to Ilgan Sports, YG Entertainment confirmed the news regarding the extension of BlackPink’s contract.

“We have signed a new exclusive contract for the group’s activities after thorough discussions with BlackPink, based on mutual trust,” said YG.
With this announcement, YG Entertainment pledges to reward BlackPink’s global fanbase with various activities suitable for the group’s global artist status. This includes new albums and more extensive world tours.
“I am delighted to continue the relationship with BlackPink. In the future, BlackPink will strive to shine brighter in the global music market and as K-pop artists. I will provide them with full support and trust in what they do,” shared Yang Hyun Suk regarding the extension of BlackPink’s contract.
This confirmation comes after months of speculation about whether BlackPink members would depart from YG Entertainment. However, it’s noteworthy that the contract is solely for group activities, not excluding the possibility of individual contracts with other companies for personal ventures.
YG Entertainment also issued a statement to Yonhap: “We are still in discussions regarding individual contracts.”
Several sources suggest that two members, including Lisa, have chosen to part ways with YG Entertainment. Discussions with the remaining two members are still ongoing.

BlackPink concluded their successful Born Pink world tour in September, attracting 1.8 million attendees over 66 shows, generating approximately $260.6 million in revenue. Even without individual exclusive contracts, many fans predict that YG Entertainment and each member will continue to profit significantly from BlackPink’s group activities.
