Mai Chau is a popular tourist attraction in Hoa Binh City because of its typical Northwest beauty. Visitors to Mai Chau will experience a lovely setting filled with lyrical, regal tourist attractions and priceless experiences.
Mai Chau Valley
Mai Chau Valley is peaceful next to the afternoon smog, this is the bright spot of the Mai Chau tourist area. In the middle of the valley, Thai ethnic people still diligently work day and night in the fields, cultivating fields to make a living. Every early morning, Mai Chau Valley is obscured by the morning dew and receives golden rays of sunlight filtering through each leaf, creating a shimmering, perfect picture.

Lac village
Since Lac village is not as populated as the city and is not as busy, it is challenging for visitors to leave and come back. People used to exclusively grow rice and weave cloth to survive in this area. Following the development of Lac Village as a tourist destination, residents began to cultivate, sell trinkets, and offer lodging in their homes to visitors.
The Lac village’s stilt cottages are towering and spotless, maintaining the exquisite details from earlier times. Electricity, fans, pillows, and blankets are all present and accounted for in every home.
The majority of these stilt homes have been there for a very long time—up to 700 years—bringing traditional and modern cultures together in harmony. You will not be bored if you visit Lac village because there are so many different stilt houses to choose from where you may take pictures, admire brocade, or dress up in vibrant ethnic clothing to feel like a real mountain girl.

Thung Khe Pass
Compared to a majestic Nordic hill, coming to Thung Khe Pass you will definitely never regret it. If you come in winter, you will feel like you are in Europe, with white snow covering the entire sky and mist covering the mountains and forests. In the summer, the vast nature is reduced to the eye, here you can see the whole Mai Chau valley, a check-in point not to be missed when coming to Mai Chau.

Pom Coong village
Pom Coong village is located next to Lac village in the Mai Chau valley. Pom Coong village has 64 stilt houses of ethnic minorities that are more than 700 years old.
Pom Coong village means the village located on the hills on the big drum – a name rich in meaning. According to ancient tradition, people built stilt houses to live in close together so that from one house they could talk and ask each other to the other house.
The people here mainly work in farming and weaving. Coming here, you will see Thai girls with colorful flared skirts weaving brocades, village boys sitting sharpening spikes, and so on. All create a picture of the peaceful, very familiar countryside.
This place is also an area that sells souvenirs for guests made by the people themselves such as scarves, brocade dresses, bags, bows, crossbows, etc. Especially different from tourist areas like Sapa, here there is especially no problem. Enticing customers, the entire booth is open to visitors to try on, take photos, and choose without any complaints or haggling.

Go Lao Waterfall
Following the road to Son La, Go Lao waterfall located in Phuc San commune, Mai Chau district attracts tourists with white water flowing into Hoa Binh Lake.
The waterfall with undulating rapids and rocks, creating a unique landscape, reflecting the clouds and sky, is considered the highlight of the mountains and forests.
