Moc Chau is a mountainous district located in the Southeast of Son La province, 300km southwest of Hanoi. The East direction of Moc Chau district borders Van Ho district, the South direction borders Huaphanh province of Laos, the West direction is Yen Chau district, and the North direction is Phu Yen district.

Due to the influence of the tropical monsoon climate due to topographical characteristics, Moc Chau can clearly distinguish the characteristics of the four seasons of the year. Summer will have high temperatures and low humidity due to heavy rainfall. Moc Chau Heart Tea Hill is a scenic spot symbolizing love and full vitality. The road to the Heart Tea Hill is also very simple, you start from Moc Chau town, follow To Hieu Street leading to Le Thanh Nghi Street, pass the market at km 70, then turn left onto Provincial Road 104, and continue going. Pass the People’s Committee of Moc Chau farm town for another 4km. Finally, you turn right about 1km more to arrive (same road as Ngu Dong Ban On).

Pha Luong Peak

Pha Luong Peak is located about 30km from Moc Chau town, bordering the Vietnam – Laos border. Although not too high, this mountain 2,000m above sea level challenges the endurance and courage of those who are passionate about conquering. Right from the journey to reach the border station – the gathering point, starting to reach the top of the mountain, you have to go through very steep roads, unlike other mountain peaks in the Northwest. To climb to the top will take you about 4 hours but it is completely worth it. Standing at Pha Luong Peak, you will be surrounded by hazy white clouds and enjoy the cool air at an altitude of over 2,000 m.
